My Brother, the Sensei

Omg, it’s the New Year. 2012. There are so many things I want to do this coming year. But before I ponder on all of that, this is a congratulatory post to my brother Ryan :). Right before Christmas, he was awarded the rank of “SHODAN” 1st Degree Black Belt in the CJA (Combined Jiu-Jitsu Arts) Style of Jiu Jitsu. It’s crazy to think that he began his journey from white belt to black belt 20 years ago in 1991. What a great example of sticking to your goals! The family was there to cheer him on, celebrate with him as he was awarded his belt, and watch him lead part of a class as a Sensei for the first time. Congrats Brotha! The fam is so proud of you :).
