2015: The Year of the Mountain

We’re already right into 2015, and I haven’t posted my goals for the year as yet! Well, it’s time to change that. I’ve already declared 2015 to be the year where I focus on mountain skills. But with several themes for the year, there are many goals I’d like to accomplish:

LIFESTYLE & HEALTH

  • ✓Complete a 90 Day Fitness program
  • Complete 1 Shaun T program
  • Complete 1 round of PiYo
  • Explore Indoor Rock Climbing
  • Bike from Canmore to Banff
  • Go Cross Country Skiing at least 3 times

MOUNTAINS AND THE OUTDOORS

  • Conquer Mount Temple
  • Summit Castle Mountain
  • Summit Fortress Mountain
  • Hike or Backpack Deception Pass
  • Take a mountaineering course
  • Backpack for at least 2 consecutive nights
  • Take a Wilderness Emergency Course
  • Get AST1 (Avalanche Training)

EDUCATION & CAREER

  • ✓Complete the hours for Newfield TAPOC
  • Finally get my SAS Advanced Certification
  • ✓Attend at least one work-paid conference
  • Attend at least one SAS related workshop in Calgary
  • Begin Certificate in Digital Media Design (or equivalent)

PERSONAL

  • Listen to a health, wellness or business podcast at least 3 times a week
  • Learn to drive standard

TRAVEL AND ADVENTURES

  • Go on 5 Trips
    • Go on a trekking trip
    • ✓Travel Hack at least one flight or travel experience
    • ✓Go to Mexico (or equivalent warm destination)
    • ✓Take a weekend trip to a US city
    • Go on one more trip!

FINANCES

  • Pay 5K extra of principal against my debt

READING AND THE BLOG

  • Read 10 Non-Fiction Books
    • ✓Explorers of the Infinite
    • ✓Essentialism
    • ✓The Power of Vulnerability
    • ✓The Practicing Mind
    • ✓The Power of Habit
    • ✓Vagabonding
    • ✓The Art of Work
    • Man’s Search for Meaning
    • The 4-Hour Work Week

  • Blog
    • Update categories
    • Convert all posts from Blogger
    • Establish a blogging frequency
    • Possible re-branding and theme update
